History
The One Minute Film & Video Festival is a new
festival located in Toronto. The festival was initially created to give a group
of procrastinating filmmakers a good reason to get motivated and start making
some new films. The tight parameters (each film only being one minute long) and
the single topic (in this case, neighbours) were included so that the
films would be easy to make, but also interesting enough when viewed together
to justify a nice, big, public screening.
We plan to host a new festival regularly, each revolving
around a new common theme. Thanks to some media interest and a lot of willing
participants, the festival is already becoming a fun, international community
of short filmmakers, all working together to keep motivated, and keep
generating films.
The submission fee is used towards the costs of renting
the screening venue, creating the press kits, marketing the fest, and other
administrative fees.
The call for submissions for this year's One Minute
Film Festival is over. Stay tuned to this web site for information about the
next festival.
